Freeman Gifts Books to Palm Island

Catherine Freeman last night became Godmother to Pacific Dawn, Australia’s newest superliner in a glittering launch in Sydney’s Circular Quay. The evening was the first fundraising event in aid of the Catherine Freeman Foundation.
Traditionally the Godmother exchanges gifts with the Captain, and Catherine Freeman requested her gift was one of books for the young people of Palm Island, in-keeping with the Foundation’s focus on education.
“Last night was fantastic and such a great way to let people know all about the Catherine Freeman Foundation. Not only do we hope that those who attended will support our work, but being in a position to work with Carnival to make my gift one that will be of value to the islanders makes it all so much more worthwhile.
We hope to be able to present the books on our trip to the Island in December”, commented Freeman.
