Catherine Freeman links up with fashion label Akio to develop a T shirt line to help CFF

I am most excited to be in the process of creating a tee shirt line together with the Melbourne based team of Sophia Sitzoukis, and Winnie Chen who is behind the clothes label, AKIO.
Together, over the last 8 – 12 months, together we’ve collaborated and created a ‘philanthropic and retail apparel’ space that is a ‘win win’ situation for all, especially the C.F.F. and the people of Palm Island.
I’ve personally known Sophia for over 10 years so I was most excited when I realised that this terrific lady owned and managed her clothing boutique, ‘Sophia Paris,’ only minutes away from my home.
Serendipity led Sophia to an introduction of myself to the passionate and talented creative Winnie Chen of AKIO, and thus far, we’ve been inseparable since.
We share a passion for personal expression through designing and wearing clothes, and a love and respect for others.

Catherine (cathy) Astrid Salome Freeman was born on 16th February in Mackay, Queensland. Catherine is Greek for 'pure', Astrid, German for 'star' and Salome is Hebrew for 'Peace'.
