CFF, St Catherines, Niddrie Secondary, and Victoria Ugarte visit Palm
November 25-27, 2008, Palm Island received quite a large CFF enlisted group of visitors for the presentation of the CFF Non-truancy bicycles and a Fashion Show for the local womenfolk.
Visitors were, CFF Chairman Andrew Cannon, CFF Treasurer Richard Thomas, CFF Founder Catherine Freeman, and CFF supporters St Catherine secondary school student foundation co-captains Emily Steven and Emily Hamilton (who were accompanied by a parent), Rosehill Secondary college student Tania Intaligiata and Rosehill Secondary teacher ‘Bob’ Hampson, and finally of Postcards from Millie boutique travel company founder, Victoria Ugarte.
Andrew Cannon and Catherine Freeman presented 20 bikes to those students from both local St Michaels and Bwgcolman primary schools who had displayed admirable schooling and leadership behaviours.
CFF are proud of all of those wonderful children who try hard to be the best they can be.
CFF are also very honoured to have enlisted the support of both Melbourne schools Tooraks St Catherines and Rosehill Secondary College who have stepped up to offer to fundraise for CFF.
Also during the 3 day visit, Victoria Ugarte provided her most precious experience and knowledge in fashion by providing a fantastic ‘female only’ opportunity for the women of Palm. Victoria provided beautiful clothing and a cat walk stage for the local women (including the elderly) to ‘frock up’ in and model for all of us to see.
It was an absolute joy seeing the women exercise their right to be beautiful women and the women truly valued the experience.
