CFF meets QLD Premier Anna Bligh

Oct 7, CFF Founder Catherine Freeman, CFF General Manager Carol Ross, CFF Programs Coordinator Svea Pitman and CFF Board member Wesley Walden travelled to Brisbane to meet with QLD Premier Anna Bligh, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships Minister Desley Boyle.

The meeting was follow up to a previous chance meeting that took place between Bligh and Freeman on Palm Island 2 months ago.

We were joined by QLD Government’s Director-General Ken Smith and Catherine Freeman’s Palm Island born mother Cecelia Barber.

As expected, the meeting gave CFF and the QLD Government to discuss CFF’s status and progress report regarding our work aspirations together with the community of Palm Island.

The QLD Government’s ongoing support for CFF was a critical yet positive point that was greatly encouraged by all.
CFF would like to thank and acknowledge Premier Anna Bligh, Minister Desley Boyle, Director-General Ken Smith and Cecelia Barber.
