Catherine is unable to visit as many schools and organisations as she would like, and in 2007 her spare time is being spent in the establishment of the Catherine Freeman Foundation.

Catherine (cathy) Astrid Salome Freeman was born on 16th February in Mackay, Queensland. Catherine is Greek for 'pure', Astrid, German for 'star' and Salome is Hebrew for 'Peace'.
